We’ve always admired Forever 21 for their super fast to market, on trend, dirt cheap clothing and accessories. This line of craveable Food Wrist Watches calls for a time out. We, of course, would opt for the center image so that it’s always pizza time o’clock in our dough filled, tomato sauce world. Although, donut time is also not a bad alarm to wake too. Enough of the time jokes. Go ahead and scarf these up online but it’s much more fun to go into a store and try them all on, trust us.
Tagging on to yesterdays post, we think these napkins should be mandatory for all slice joints to provide as mouth wipers. We found these Pizza Love Party Napkins in Walmart of all places. There are good things to be found in places you’d never expect, case in point. The genius behind these paper proclamators is a company called, Creative Converting. They make eating extra fun and take parties to a level your five year old, and maybe your 35 year old, will love. Next time you spin up a delivery pie for your Friday night pre-game party, drop these on the table. We promise they will pay off all night.
Three words. Scungilli. You know, SCUN. GIL. LI. BOOM! DONE! Johnny T. Staten Island gets a bad rap. If you find yourself passing through, as so many NYers do, take a stop. Head for Denino’s but skip the pizza. Instead get a double order of their Italian conch in marinara. I’ll travel...
all photos by Kun Kim Doc, this is heavy! It was over two months ago now that the Deloreon and MJF blessed the deck with their 80’s epic time travel tale. Let’s blame it on a rip in the time space continuum that caused us to delay this recap for so long. Truth is we wanted to highlight some of...
From what the organizers have said, The Pizzadelphia Pizza Festival is at least partially to put Philly pizza on the map. Now, as a New Yorker, you know Naples is the only city that even matters but that’s like saying France wins the world cup again. Update: that actually happened. Well maybe Philly is Croatia. Maybe they beat out Chicago in an upset and they are now in the finals. With slices from Pizzeria Vetri, Pizza Brain and the illusive Beddia, the line up is solid and the party is set to sauce mode. Some of Philly’s best DJ’s make it loud and the Vetri Community Partnership makes it good. If you are a pizza freak this weekend at the Navy Yard has your shirt stain waiting. Saturday, July 14th from 12 to 5:30pm in Philadelphia.
If you’re a proper NYer you know the part a “slice” plays in your daily borough to borough maze run. We’ve written about the necessity of this iconic mainstay extensively. Since we’re kids the price for this necessity has seen a 1000% increase. Enter the recent trend in $1 slice joints. Slice Out Hunger takes the price of old, the best pizza places in NY and a HUGE charity angle on creating their Annual Dollar Slice Night. Fifty of the best NYC pizza makers under one roof for one night of a pizza party unseen since the first Napolitano’s landed on Ellis Island. 100% of proceeds benefits New Yorkers in need. We’ll be there with a bib on. Hope to see you. Wednesday, October 5 from 6pm-8pm in Soho, NYC.
