It’s been a while since we’ve posted. You may have wondered what we’ve been up to. This video explains it all but for those of you who can’t bring yourself to watch 3 minutes of fun, bike and food content here’s the skinny.
Last year we threw our first Bike-In-Theater in North Brooklyn on the waterfront. The response was so amazing that we decided to bring it back this year. The twist is that we want to hit as many cities as possible. We’re starting with NY and San Francisco but hope to raise enough money to do a few more.
Yes. I said raise money. See, last year it was self funded and helped to launch the ForkingTasty Suppers season. This year we’ve turned to Kickstarter to help raise the funds to put the proper infrastructure in place and bring even more amazing food to the event. So, to our loyal fans and those of you here for the first time, please help pitch in and make Bike-In-Theater a reality.
Saturday, September 19th at 6:30pm. Once again, Aimee and I have not finalized it yet. We promise a Cajun and Creole delight for your palettes. Perhaps we can conjure the memories from a past Mardi Gras or NOLA Jazz Fest. The good memories that is. No one needs to be reminded of the night you lost your shirt and your dinner, almost simultaneously, then woke up on the steps of that strip club on Bourbon with the big legs sticking out of it. I digress. We will update it as soon as we have the savory details.
Saturday, July 17th at 7:30pm. Being ex-Advertising people ourselves, this film seemed very appropriate. Ohh, but we are not killers. As Cary Grant, a hapless New York advertising executive, gets mistaken for a government agent by a group of foreign spies, he is chased across the country while he looks for a way to survive. We will follow him from New York to Chicago, across the great plains and finally to South Dakota with a culinary treat from each location. Have you ever heard of an Indian Taco? What do they grow most in Indiana? What is Chicago’s most underground famous food? These questions and more will be answered soon enough.
