My final day of my trip on the Eurodam we landed in Boston. We were feeling the effects of a hurricane that day and I had to carry around all my bags. A good touristy place to go and stay dry would be Cheers. We arrived at Cheers a little early and we were not ready to eat just yet so we decided to get some coffee and then walked into a boutique. That’s when I noticed that my phone was gone. Ugh, the worst feeling. It is crazy how much we rely on your phones these days. I felt completely helpless and disconnected. We used Kelsey’s phone and called, no answer. The second call the cabby picked up. He was at the airport by this time and said he would come by Cheers to drop it off in 15 minutes. We went back in the rain and made it over to cheers. The cabby came by and I gave him a 20. Ahhh relief! That is the 4th time I left a phone in a cab but I have always got my phone back. Knock on wood.
Cheers is a staple of Boston. However, the inside of Cheers looks nothing like the show. It’s more of a restaurant then a bar. It’s also a huge tourist trap. It was Kelsey’s first time in Boston so why not have a beer and eat some great New England Clam Chowder.

The chowder is my favorite part of Cheers but we also ordered a lobster and artichoke dip. This really rocked my world. I ordered a mushroom cheese burger and Kelsey had a grilled cheese sandwich and of course washed it all down with a beer. I liked the grilled cheese better than the burger. After lunch we jumped in a cab and headed to Quincy Market. We did a bunch of shopping (well, Kelsey did a bunch of shopping) while trying to avoid the puddles. Kelsey had to unfortunately leave to go back to the ship and I had to find my way to a friends place for the night. It was sad to leave each other but I will see her in a few days in Quebec.

[...] nice flavor. I also ordered a side of their famous chowder. The chowder was good but not as good as Cheers in Boston. The nice surprise at the end was there was a piece of bacon waiting for me at the bottom smothered [...]
