There was a group of us going out in Germany wanting to do something that was normal. Living on a ship we never get to go do something normal, like go to a movie. We decided to go bowling in Germany. We had until 10:30 to get back to the ship so we decided to get a bite to eat before bowling. We stopped at a few places and somehow ended up at an Italian restaurant. I was definitely not the decision maker because when in Germany I want beer and bratwurst. I would have been happy with something on the side of the road. No biggy, I’ll be back there again and again.

Casamia was quite good. We had about 7 people and we needed to split up because they only had small tables. My table had 3 people, Kelsey, Sam, and myself.

Table 1

Beers
Paulaner Hefeweizen hell – Hell? Oh … Hell yeah. This beer is always the best!!!!
Kosritzer Schwarzbier – Dark beer, Good not as fruity as the Hefeweizen
Bitburger Pils – REALLY Bitter. Tasted like the Budweiser of Germany
Food
Freshly baked goat cheese covered with dry bacon from Serrano on tomato Carpaccio and a delicious marinade
A Variety of salads with grapes and sliced chicken breast fillets fried in garlic and honey
Tender pork medallions covered with mozzarella on a spicy tomato pepper sauce and gnocchi
A giant stuffed mushroom with Chicken, Steak, and Pork medallions and deep fried steak fries – This was our favorite dish
No room for desert

Table 2

2 different pizzas’ – 1 with tomatoes, and the other with proscuitto
2 orders of spinach ravioli
Even though this was not the type of dinner I was looking forward to, it was still very good. I will definitely go to a more German restaurant when Jay visits me on the ship in a few weeks.
