FORKING TASTY SUPPERS is a roaming supper club that recreates the lost practice of dinner time. In our house, dinner time was a chance to bond, eat and laugh with family and friends. We restore this tradition by pairing simple, bold cuisine with a uniquely comfortable atmosphere.
We are prepping for this season and have some awesome partners we’ll bring into the kitchen. The relaxed and delicious components of our meals will stay intact but we hope to welcome a wider range of friends to the table spanning coast to coast. The stretch goal is to dip our toe internationally pulling together some of our foreign friend that we’ve become so close with over the years. With this all star list of underground chefs and food genius’ we’re sure to finish with a more amazing stories and many new friends. Get hungry and get ready.
Hop on the list to be notified of upcoming dinners. We promise you will always leave with a few new friends and a very full belly. Check out some of our past dinners below and we hope to see you soon.
More on our Suppers:
Our suppers are an ever-changing experiment in creativity, both culinarily and experientially. Some dinners take place on a secret 60-foot deck under the glow of a huge movie screen. Other evenings pop up in a commandeered restaurant for just one night. Sometimes we even curate dinners to specific audiences as you’ll see below on the sign up list. We are always discovering new places to host our dinners and constantly inventing new dishes to pair with these distinctive locations.
REEL TASTY: A Bronx Tale
You talkin’ to me?
The season 4 opener of REEL TASTY was quite the oasis of an evening. It may have taken us a while to get going this year but we kicked off with a bang. The night itself was an unexpected 84 degree evening complete with a slight breeze. Sandwiched between two blistering hot weeks in July, we lucked out is an understatement. Read more.
REEL TASTY: The Three Amigos
Ariba! Ole! and Amigos!
The season 3 finally of REEL TASTY went off better than we could have ever expected. Again we bit off a little more than we could chew. In the end the Mexican fiesta, with our favorite three amigos, was a pinata smash hit. Although we didn’t have an actual pinata we did have everything else very well represented form pork to beans to tequila. Read more.
REEL TASTY: Escape from New York
The great escape finally happened.
When hurricane Irene blew in we didn’t know if this dinner would ever happen and we never thought a “true” escape from New York would be necessary. Luckily we got it back on the calendar ironically a day before perhaps the most somber escape from New York ever. On September 10, we filled a table of 20 to celebrate NY, it’s food and the sci-fi, 80’s cult classic Escape from New York. Read more.
