The southerner and I spent the day shopping on Kings St and it was getting late. We were hungry but didn’t want to eat too much and spoil our dinner later on that night. A friend of ours told us how she really enjoyed Sermet’s. We were not even looking for the restaurant when we decided to eat it was right in front of us. There are two Sermet’s, Sermet’s Corner (which is where we went, 276 King Street, Charleston – (843) 853-7775) and Sermet’s Courtyard.
We popped in for a quick bit and I was very happy to see two plate sizes on the menu, lunch and a full size. I ordered a lunch size of the sausage, chicken pasta with blue cheese sprinkled on top. I have never had the blue cheese sprinkle before on pasta. It was really good and I think I may try that at home the next time I make some pasta.
The southerner had a gilled cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries.
Also good but filling for how late we were eating.
After our meal we shopped a little more and then got ready for our ghost tour. Charleston is known for their ghosts and rightfully so. On our tour I was taking pictures in the graveyard and lets just say there is an image in one of my photos that I just can’t explain. Cool stuff, good lunch, perfect day.

Loved your series of Charleston posts – I was there this weekend for Wine and Food Festival – and from the area. Love Semets and many others … Hope to see you at Sunday Night Supper Club this Sunday for Daylight Savings Dinner!

I was supposed to be there but something came up and I have to go and train someone in the caribbean. I’m really disappointed I’m going to miss it
