Hotdog stand and Café Rossi

Anthony, Eating out, Europe

We started the day in Harwich England and 2.5 hours later we were in the heart of London. We were running around London checking out Big Ben, Parliament, The changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, and going up the London tower. We only had 3.5 hours to do it all so in some cases we were literally RUNNING AROUND like I said earlier. With all the running around we saved enough time to have some grub. It also worked up an appetite.

We started off with a safety meal on the side of the road near Big Ben. We had a giant hotdog with grilled onion, ketchup and mustard. We had to share one because Kelsey and I still wanted to sit down and have something else. We then jumped into a cab on the hunt for a small little café lunch spot near the London Tower. However, our cabby dropped us off at the London Bridge (2 different things, who knew, oops!)

There were a few places around to eat so instead of jumping in another cab we decided to eat. The first place was packed and we didn’t have the time. The second place we went to, nobody acknowledged our existence so we took off. That turned out to be a good decision because our 3rd shop was Café Rossi where we met our waiter, Americano. I new we had a good waiter when he was so excited to see my Nikon camera. He was telling us all about his dream to get the D300 Nikon. He also asked for my Flickr account so I figured Forkingtasty.com would be a good reference. Americano was a fun guy (Good luck on getting your camera). As we got seated I noticed they had thick chicken cutlets in the showcase. They looked good and I had to have one… but “Anthony style”. I had Americano add the chicken cutlet to the avocado, mozzarella, tomato sandwich. I know. I was a happy camper. Kelsey got a chicken salad that she enjoyed.

It hit the spot perfect. It was quick and easy and we were on our way.
Thanks Americano!
