It is so funny how their are 12 million people in New Your City and you can still bump in to people you know in random places. For such a huge city it can really be small sometimes. I was out to dinner at Mad For Chicken with friends and who just happens to be sitting at the table next to mine. My friend Sunny who I haven’t seen in months. We decided to meet up for a bite and some drinks later on the following week…

REEL TASTY: JAWS

A few days ago a giant, man-eating shark visited the deck along with 17 dinner guests. Our fourth dinner this summer was another beautiful evening. Some old faces again, mixed with a few new ones made for a great evening.

We started off with…

Tony Baloney's Deli-San Francisco

I just had to do a post about this deli. Great name and friendly owner. It sits on Howard and 6th st. in San Fran, a block from the hotel I was staying at. I visited each morning to get a large, hot coffee before starting the daily drive down to silicon valley. Each day the owner said hello, and asked how i was, remembering me by face. The first day I visited, I augmented my coffee with …

Citi Field is home of the New York Mets and is a beautiful stadium. Last night was my first time there and my 3 friends wanted to break me in (Tim, Seth, & Brian). All are Met fans but me. Yankees all the way! They showed me around the stadium and we went right for the good stuff, the food of course. The main food court is out in the outfield where you will find some great places such as Blue Smoke or Shack Shack.

Cooks – Dover England from Anthony Anello on Vimeo.

For the second time with in a week on the ship we were back in Dover, England. This time the weather was not so good. Kelsey and I walked around town a bit to find some lunch. At first we sat in the park for a little and looked at the castle that hovers over the city. However, our growling stomachs and the weather took over…

IN 'N OUT

This is probably the most real time post I have done to date. I just landed in San Jose California. I was hungry. I went straight to In ‘N Out and wacked down this Double-Double, Fries and a Coke. Yes a coke! I don’t even drink that stuff. Super indulgence. Since I am still on NY time it’s almost 2am and I am tired. So, I just put a full fast food meal in me and now I am going to sleep. Bit it was goooooood. mmmmm. zzzzzzz.

La Via Romana – Dover England from Anthony Anello on Vimeo.

It was a really nice afternoon in Dover England and for some reason there was no shuttle from the ship to town so we had to walk it. It was a nice day out so it was ok. When we got to town we found a small pub and relaxed outside with a tall beer. The beer was good and on a slightly empty stomach I could kind of feel it….

Good Pizza-San Francisco

I stayed a second time at the Good Hotel, a small boutique hotel in San Francisco’s SOMA neighborhood. This time I tried out the pizza place in the lobby. Good Pizza makes a thin crust Napolitano style pizza. Toppings run the gamut from traditional pepperoni to the Scandinavian bacon and potato to the Californian walnut and apple.

I ordered two small pies for sampling purpose. First this..

Alex – Keil, Germany from Anthony Anello on Vimeo.

Kelsey and I had been to Kiel Germany a bunch of times but never went anywhere special because it was always raining. For my last visit to Kiel the sun finally decided to shine. We walked through town and the first thing we were looking for was Starbucks.

Belgium from Anthony Anello on Vimeo.

Belgium waffles are widely known across America and probably the world. On my last cruise I had one day in Belgium and I was not going to miss the opportunity to have Belgium Waffles in Belgium. We set out in a nice size crew looking for a waffle house for some breakfast. There seemed to be nothing of the sort in Belgium…
