Last Saturday I went on a mission. The mission was to eat as much as I could inside 2 hours at Citifield, the new Mets stadium. I have to acknowledge a few things before I get into the meat and po….well….this will be mostly meat. He commented on one of my other food images asking when he would see some of the eats from the Mets’ new home. A sucker for a challenge and always wanting to please my friends, I started to sniff around for some tickets. That brings me to the second shout out. It was less than 10 seconds later when Jen, my partner in crime over at Yahoo!, told me she had an extra ticket. I jumped at the chance and the mission’s details were set.
Saturday was a gorgeous 85 degrees and sunny. A perfect day for baseball and food. I got to the stadium a little early to get a jump on the food. Here is what went down…

My post yesterday went on a long explanation of one particular meal I had while up in Boston last week. I felt the need to share some of the other delicious dishes I consumed while in Beantown for 36 hours…

Yesterday I flew to Boston for the fourth Jelly Talk. It’s a developer focused speaker series I started with Amit Gupta, founder of Jelly, Photojojo and commandshift3(a personal favorite of mine).
The talk went great. Seth and Ryan talked geo-location for about an hour making me jealous I don’t yet have an iPhone. But, lets back up about an hour…

This past Thursday Jen, my work wife, and I decided to invite some friends over to our area for a group PBJ day. The point of this was two fold. First, we wanted to make some friends and celebrate the wonder that is the peanut butter + the Jelly + the bread. Second, we wanted to get rid of some of our stock so that we could begin purchasing some new flavors of both the PB and the J. Jenny did a quick email out to some solid eater peeps in the office and we wound up with a nice crew of six. Below is each of our takes on what we ate and how it made us feel…

I don’t usually write these types of posts but I decided to make an exception today because I have had long relationship with Glaceau as a customer. It started back when I lived in San Francisco with a product they made called Fruit Water. What was amazing about fruit water was…

This sandwich started many years ago when I was about 17 years old. It gained super stardom by Jimmy Bruccalari, one of Ant’s oldest friends. Jimmy came over the house one afternoon and explained to Ant, my parents and me that he had been frequenting a new market in town. Verelli’s was Jimmy’s lunch stop everyday for about a week . Each day he would try out a different sandwich. Johnny, a short Mexican man who worked the deli counter, made Jimmy’s sandwich everyday. On the 5th or 6th day Jimmy realized that no matter what he ordered Johnny would always ask the same question.

This weekend started off with a jam packed Friday Night. I had already said NO to a few dinners, a couple parties and a trip to DC with intentions of trying to get some rest this weekend. A Friday night with no obligations was just what was in order. I kicked it off with a Good-ol’NYC-Sabrett-dog. (mustard and kraut of course)
