Breakfast the second day was good. We walked a little away from downtown on St. Jean Street. We stepped outside the walls of the fortress to explore what else this city had to offer. The walls of the fortress surround downtown Quebec. There were more shops and restaurants; many of them were crepe brunch places. So we settled with having another crepe for breakfast at Le Billig. The one thing that stood out to me was the super fresh maple syrup. It tasted like it was just taken out of the tree and put at our table. If I could drink it I would. The one downer was the bees… yes bees. There were bees all over the place and kept flying by our heads and food. Kind of annoying but I guess that is what you get when you sit by the open windows on a really nice sunny morning.
